Cora

“After an early birth and lots of back and forth for blood tests, it was exactly what we needed. Being able to relax at home and start our new life together made such a difference.”
Baby Cora was born three weeks early and required light therapy for jaundice shortly after birth. After several hospital visits, her family was introduced to the Neonatal Hospital at Home service, allowing Cora to receive treatment safely at home with daily nurse visits and ongoing clinical support.
This new service forms part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Virtual Hospital model, supporting the delivery of care closer to home and reducing time spent in hospital where safe and appropriate.
The project has benefited from over £38,000 in additional investment from Hi Scotland and Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity. This support has helped enable new approaches to delivering neonatal care in the home and reflects ongoing collaboration to develop innovative, family-centred solutions for children’s healthcare.
